CFISD named a 2024 TAEA District of Distinction winner

Nov. 26, 2024—The Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) named CFISD a 2024 District of Distinction award winner, marking the fourth time the district has earned the prestigious designation. CFISD is among only 96 districts in the state to earn this award.

ESL Classes for parents

Parents with children enrolled in bilingual or ESL classes at CFISD schools who want to learn English are invited to enroll in district-offered ESL classes for parents. The free classes are offered for three levels of English proficiency: Introduction, Beginner or Intermediate. Registration will take place at the school cafeterias on the first day of class.

Percheron LLC donated school supplies to Andre’ Elementary School ahead of the 2024-2025 school year. Percheron LLC, GEICO Houston and Cornerstone Building Brands donated back-to-school supplies and backpacks to Andre’ Elementary School, Arnold Middle School and Bane Elementary School, respectively, for students in need ahead of the 2024-2025 school year.

2024-25 Proposed General Operating Budget Presentation

June 17, 2024—The Cypress-Fairbanks ISD Board of Trustees adopted the 2024-2025 budget in the amount of $1,164,278,145 during its regularly scheduled meeting on June 17.

CFISD students spur donations for diabetes research

CFISD students and staff represented the district at the JDRF 2024 Houston Promise Ball, held April 13 at the Hilton Americas. The event, which helps raise money to find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes, generated more than $2.8 million for the cause.
